Mend & Make Friends

A hole in your favorite sweater could be the beginning of a new friendship.

Join us every Monday evening for Mend & Make Friends, a relaxed 3-hour gathering where creativity, conversation, and community come together. Bring a garment or textile you'd like to repair, and spend the evening stitching alongside others who believe that mending is as much about slowing down and connecting as it is about repairing clothes.

Whether you're patching jeans, darning socks, or reinforcing a well-loved jacket, you'll have access to our inspiring studio, a variety of tools and supplies, and friendly guidance whenever you need it. 

No experience? No problem! Just bring your project, your curiosity, and an open mind. We'll provide the interesting atmosphere, a light snack with coffee or tea and meeting new people who appreciate the art of visible mending.

Come once, or make it part of your weekly routine. Mend & Make Friends is a chance to care for your clothes, learn something new, and build connections with a community of creative people in Groningen.

Price: €15 per session or €50 for 4 sessions

Skill Level: suitable for all skill levels

How to Join:

1. Online: to guarantee a spot, register and pay
2. Walk in: to ensure you get your money’s worth, feel free to walk in anytime before 8pm and pay the €15 entrance fee upon arrival.

Included:

• Thread, fabric swatches and all necessary mending tools
• Guidance where needed
• Light Snack and coffee or tea

You Bring:

• A project requiring visible or hand mending.
