A Friday Night Open Studio

Whether you're a night owl, a busy student, or a vampire looking for an inspiring way to spend your Friday evening, The Midnight Maker is your invitation to get creative and connect with Groningen’s international maker community.

Once a month, our studio opens its doors for a relaxed, social evening of textile making. Bring your own project and enjoy full access to a welcoming creative space equipped with sewing machines, professional tools, and materials, all while working alongside fellow makers of all skill levels.

If you're new to Groningen or looking to meet fellow international creatives, this is the perfect place to build community, one project at a time.

What to expect:

• Complete Creative Freedom: Whether you're mending, sewing, embroidering, needle felting, drawing, screen printing, working with heat transfer vinyl (HTV), or experimenting with something entirely new—all projects are welcome.

• Cozy Vibes: We’ll keep the midnight energy right with light music, complimentary snacks, drinks, and plenty of good conversation.

• Expert Guidance: Hosted by two English-speaking makers with over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry. We're here to help you troubleshoot, exchange ideas, and find inspiration.
